The 11 gorgeous peaks of the Glass House Mountains are found in the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast.

A natural playground of walking tracks, horse trails and abseiling locations, the mountains are also home to six small townships, linked by rail and country roads.

A few steps beyond the lobby lies Mooloolaba Beach. It’s perfect for families with the usually calm waves, although novices can usually catch a wave that won’t knock them over. The rockpools are perfect for hunting out small sea life.

The Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club is also active on this beach too, so rest assured there are always watchful eyes ready to spring into action if required.

Very soon there will be a Mooloolaba Beach tidal pool much like the Kings Beach Beachfront Saltwater Pool in Caloundra.

For honeymooners, romantic partners and the young at heart, there’s always the Mooloolaba Wharf Precinct; offering a unique experience overlooking the Mooloolah River.

Get into the various water-based activities; book a whale watching tour and swim with the whales, cruise the canals, take a jet-boat ride or snorkel around any of the rocky coastal areas. You never know what crayfish might be hiding in the rocks. Go scuba diving off the artificial reef on the HMAS Brisbane.

Don’t forget the 15 different restaurants, cafes and bars to try out on the recently renovated Mooloolaba Wharf.

A casual stroll to the Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club, Mooloolaba Bowls Club, The Wharf, Sea Life Mooloolaba (Underwater World) and Canal, Fishing & Whale Cruises.

Take a short bus ride to the newly expanded, vibrant Maroochydore Plaza, family friendly 10 Pin Bowling, local farmers and community markets or drive to the nearby Headland Park or Twin Waters Golf course to challenge your golfing skills. Experience the latest movies at the nearby Kawana Shoppingworld or Maroochydore Plaza.

Close to Sunshine Coast Airport, Australia Zoo, Aussie World and The Pub, The Big Kart Track, Bli Bli Watersports and Aqua Park, local markets and festivals. Take a drive to the Hinterland and explore the Arts and Crafts in Montville and Maleny. Visit the Big Pineapple Tree Top Challenge and The Ginger Factory.
